Singhagiri Partners with EWIS Colombo to reinvent the Sri Lankan Television watching experience

Acollaboration that paved the way to revolutionize the history of the Television Industry in Sri Lanka was announced on the auspicious day of 9th March 2022.

Singhagiri Pvt Ltd, a leading Consumer Electronic Retailer in Sri Lanka, partnered with EWIS Colombo Ltd, the only Original Equipment Manufacturer in Sri Lanka setting a milestone in Sri Lankan history where they will manufacture SGL branded Televisions. This is a first for Sri Lanka and the initiative taken should be admired as such a step forward not only strengthens the Sri Lankan economy but also creates the country many future opportunities. The partnership agreement was signed by Ms. Maheshi Anandasiri – CEO Singhagiri Pvt Ltd and Sanjeewa Wickramanayake Chairman EWIS Colombo Ltd at the EWIS head office in Colombo.

Singhagiri Pvt Ltd was founded by the late, Mr. Sugathadasa Marasinghe in the year 1972, and boasts humble yet proud beginnings being the first company to introduce the brand “Samsung” to the island. The company also showcases an array of products manufactured by renowned brands.
