Dave secures No: 1 song on the UK charts

Hip hop and rap artist Dave has scored his second career No: 1 song on the UK singles chart with his new release ‘Starlight’. The song debuted straight in at the No: 1 position a week after its release. Dave ended the seven-week reign of ‘ We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ by the cast of the animated Disney film Encarto after several artists failed to unseat the Disney hit.

In taking the No: 1 position this week ‘Starlight’ had 63,000 chart sales, additionally also becoming the only song to debut straight at the No: 1 spot for 2022 thus far. Dave is a 23-yearold from Brixton, London. ‘Starlight’ is his seventh UK top 10 hit and only second chart topper after ‘Funky Friday’ featuring Fredo in 2018. ‘Starlight’ is a non-album song at this moment.
