Conquering the world of jobs: Future professional excellence emerging from industrial and technical colleges

The Certificate Award Ceremony for Diploma holders who have successfully completed the National Vocational Qualification Level 5 and 6 (NVQ 5, 6) courses in industrial and technical colleges island wide was held on March 11 under the patronage of Hon. State Minister of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation, Dr. Seetha Arambepola.

Certificates were awarded to 1,396 students who successfully completed their education and practical training in 41 various courses in various fields of professional studies including:

National Diploma in Telecommunication Technology National Diploma in Information and Communication Technology National Diploma in Marine Supply Management

National Diploma in Automotive Repair and Maintenance National Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

National Diploma in Building and Construction

Higher National Diploma in Electrical Technology

The event was attended by a number of government officials including Director General of the Department of Technical Education and Training, S. C. Jagath and Director S. Parameswaran.
