No-go areas declared
An extraordinary gazette notification was issued last night, prohibiting anyone from being on a public road, railway tracks, public park, public recreation ground or other public ground or the seashore during the curfew hours.
It said a written permit granted by the Defence Secretary, the Public Security Ministry Secretary or the Inspector General of Police or any officer authorised by them would be required to remain in these locations during curfew hours effective till 6 am tomorrow.
