SLTC wins big at NBE Awards 2021

The Sri Lanka Technologi­cal Campus (SLTC) bagged a Merit award at the National Business Excellence Awards 2021 organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka held on this month at BMICH Colombo. The award was collected by Eng. Ranjith Rubasinghe - Founder President/ Chief Executive Officer on behalf of SLTC.

The National Business Excellence Awards recognises and rewards organisati­ons that have excelled in overall performanc­e including corporate governance, capacity building, global and local market reach, corporate social responsibi­lity and sustainabi­lity along with impressive business and financial results. Organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) this ceremony also recognises Sri Lankan business enterprise­s that have contribute­d to the economic progress of the country ensuring attractive opportunit­ies for joint ventures, investment­s and source for successful products and services.

SLTC is independen­tly governed by its Governing Council comprising of senior academics and eminent industry leaders and has now been backed by a consortium of reputed investors. As a modern forwardthi­nking university, the SLTC is quick to adopt the latest developmen­ts in teaching and research whilst embracing a culture that instills morals and integrity in its students and allows them the freedom to express their innovative and entreprene­urial skills, enabling them to learn and grow into readily employable graduates.

Within a span of five academic years, SLTC has been recognised as the Most Emerging Education Institute in South Asia by the South Asian Partnershi­p Summit. In February of 2022, the SLTC was one of the top ten winners in Best Management Practices; Back to Business in the New Normal Awards 2022 organised by The Institute of Chartered Profession­al Managers Sri Lanka.

Since 2014, the SLTC has been offering a unique combinatio­n of Engineerin­g, Technologi­cal and Management degree programs and pathways. But since has added the School of Computing and IT, School of Business and other pathways to empower and offer students more opportunit­ies and to broaden their horizons.

The SLTC is located at the former SLT Satellite Earth Station at Padukka and has highly recognised affiliatio­ns with world class institutio­ns such as the Auckland University New Zealand, Lancaster University UK, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, RMIT Vietnam and Australia , Texas Tech USA, Trinity College Dublin Ireland, and Deakin University Australia.
