Thriller film about a protective mother and her struggle to save her children, ‘Happy Birthday’ directed by Aruna Jayawardne­na is now being screened LFD and CEL circuit theatres around the country.

Nita Saparamadu with her two daughters, Natalie and Venuki arrive at the late father’s estate bungalow to finalise maters connected to the estate settlement.

Natalie who turns 18 looks forward to a simple celebratio­n with her family later that day. Though they miss their grandfathe­r the sister are eager to know what their grandfathe­r has left them.

Upon entering the house, they are unable to locate theri maid and feel a strate presence around the house. Mother and the two daughters try to settle in, but their peace is shattered soon when they get surrounded by a gang of strangers.

The film stars Dilhani Ekanayake, Yehali Tashiya Kalidasam, Isuru Lokuhettia­rachchi, Sooriya Dayaruwan, Randhika Gunathilla­ke, Suranga Ranawaka, Yohani Hansika hettiarach­chi, Bandula Suriyaband­ara, Prasanna Dekumpitiy­a and Sunil Premaratne.
