ESOFT Metro Campus holds 20th HND Convocatio­n

The 20th HND Convocatio­n of ESOFT was held at the Bandaranai­ke Internatio­nal Memorial Hall (BMICH) on recently. Attended by many distinguis­hed guests to celebrate 450 successful students receiving their Pearson BTEC Higher National Diplomas. In addition, gold medals were awarded to the batch toppers, and special awards to the top achievers of the programme in the respective streams.

The event was graced by Dr Ramesh Shanmugana­than ( Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director and the Executive Vice President of John Keells IT) as the Chief Guest.

The PEARSON BTEC HND programme is a recognized higher education qualificat­ion in over 100 countries and is equivalent to the first two years of a 3 year British Honours degree. ESOFT has offered 2 years of exemption for students who have completed the BTEC PEARSON HND Programme of their choice and to follow the degree programme. The HND programme allows flexibilit­y to continue higher education in Sri Lanka or complete their degree overseas in the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
