Prospects College of Higher Education (PCHE) in partnership with Deakin Unive r s i t y Melbourne, Australia, now offers a degree pathway in Psychology for students who have completed their A/L’s. Under this arrangement, students can commence their studies at PCHE Colombo, Sri Lanka, and upon successful completion of 1 year, transfer to Deakin University Australia to complete their Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, in just 2 years. Students would receive guaranteed credit transfer of 1 year.
This would result in a considerable cost saving by way of 1 year of tuition fees at the university and living expenses, amounting to over Rs. 14 million. Students who perform well academically, during their 1st year of study in Sri Lanka, would be entitled to scholarships, awarded by Deakin University.
Psychology is a growing field in Australia, and the demand for qualified Psychologists has increased during the post pandemic period. Students who complete the Bachelor of Psychological Sciences at Deakin University, could commence their pathway to becoming a fully registered Psychologist in Australia. This degree programme is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council. The programme includes 140 hours of industry experience.
