NAITA-HUAWEI Asia-Pacific Academy awarded certificates to first batch students
National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) in collaboration with leading ICT solutions provider Huawei, has just awarded certificates to first batch of 240 students, who participated the advanced technology in telecommunication, through a join initiative named NAITA-Huawei Asia-Pacific Academy.
NAITA-Huawei Asia-Pacific Academy is a substantial development initiative for ICT talents focusing on vocational students, followed by the signing of MoU between NAITA and Huawei Sri Lanka in July 2021, to enhance the students with theories and actually skills for ICT infrastructure development. This initiative includes the construction of 1:1 simulates construction site to allow students to practice main scenarios of telecom hardware installation, as well as theoretical studies with professional teachers with standardised quality awareness, to leverage the students’ competence and qualifications.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of NAITA Mr. Ruchika Amarasekara said that “Technology is fast evolving, emerging ICT technologies such as 5G, IoT, AI, and cloud, will be shaping the development and implementation of digital economy. We are thankful to our partner Huawei, to come up and enable our youth with cutting edge technologies with latest practice and experiences, which been actually needed by the telecom industry.”
