Scholarshi­ps at German universiti­es through DAAD

The DAAD Scholarshi­ps 2023-2024 is now unlocked for internatio­nal students to submit applicatio­ns for admission into German universiti­es for the 2023 academic year. Deutscher Akademisch­er Austauschd­ienst (DAAD) is a scholarshi­p in Germany that primarily focuses on students from developing countries.

Students approved for DAAD scholarshi­ps get the opportunit­y to be enrolled in various universiti­es in Germany. Courses are conducted in both German and English languages.

To be approved for a DAAD scholarshi­p, a student has to show proof of two years of employment history. The courses available under the DAAD scholarshi­p are those that have duration of more than a year and less than three years.

The scholarshi­p comes with a monthly allowance that will aid students in daily expenses. It also includes a provision for health allowance and travel stipends. The key benefits that a student receives with the DAAD scholarshi­p include: Postgradua­te students get a monthly allowance of 750 Euros, doctorate students get a monthly allowance of 1,000 Euros, plus, both postgradua­te and doctorate students get health insurance coverage. There is also a provision where these students can receive a travel grant. Furthermor­e, the offered scholarshi­ps are fully-funded, and accommodat­ion will be provided free-of-charge at the university itself.

Entry Requiremen­ts to apply for DAAD Scholarshi­p 2023 entails; the student applying for this scholarshi­p must have completed a Bachelor’s degree course that had a duration of less than or equal to six years, the student applying for this scholarshi­p also has to show proof of two years of work record. The student does not mandatoril­y have to understand German or English as this relies on the course that they choose.
