APIIT a promise 50 top IT graduates to VOIGUE

The Leading IT Campus in Sri Lanka, The Asia Pacific Institute of Informatio­n Technology (APIIT) entered into a landmark partnershi­p with Voigue( A company specialise in servicing the Australian market) to provide high caliber IT talent of Sri Lanka to support the growth of the Human Resource Outsourcin­g (HRO) sector which is a new sector that Sri Lanka has entered in the BPO/ IT space.

“Employment secured through this partnershi­p will open new avenues for our students to connect directly with clients in Australia, which will give them the foreign exposure while working from their home country,” said Board Director of APIIT/Head of the School of Computing at APIIT, Dr Rohantha Athukorala. He further went on to say, “our faculty is one of the best in Sri Lanka. This includes faculty members from Silicon Valley in the US, Bangalore and top IT companies in Australia as well as cybersecur­ity experts from Canada who train our students. This makes APIIT the most-sought-afte r computer training school in Sri Lanka in producing quality graduates,” he said at the media briefing.

Voigue is an Australian company with an office in Sri Lanka, which provides virtualise­d workforces for businesses on non-core activities. The ultimate goal is to deliver a reliable, consistent and convenient support/service with an experience­d, qualified team to other businesses on the areas which the key business functional­ities depend on. “All our clients are from Australia and Voigue provides HRO and technical assistance to them 24/7 throughout the year. Our staff connects directly with our clients to resolve any requests,” said Operations Manager, Hansani Bandara.

APIIT had to close registrati­ons for the Staffordsh­ire University IT Degree programmes almost two weeks before the official registrati­on closure in the last intake as the demand exceeded the quality parameters that the Asia Pacific Institute of Informatio­n Technology ( APIIT) specify as per global standards adhere to. We are very conscious of the quality and we now interview and select the candidates said Dr Rohantha Athukorala.
