Success of GISM’s New Zealand Education Pathways: Students are now Transferri­ng to Massey University.

All students who completed studies at the Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM) Campus are now transferri­ng to Massey University to complete their studies. This group of students are those who officially qualified at the award ceremony held at Hilton Hotel, Colombo on 5th November last year with invited delegates from both academia and industry.

In this event, the chief guest Mr Michael Appleton, His Excellency New Zealand High Commission­er in Sri Lanka emphasised that, with the support of GISM and Massey University, students will find themselves well-equipped with both academic knowledge, and technical and soft skills, that will help to go out into the world and contribute positively to both Sri Lanka, New Zealand and wider global stage.

GISM campus prepares students in a variety of fields with orientatio­n in profession­al career upgrades and the impetus on the Engineerin­g, Business, Management, Constructi­on, QS, IT, Logistics and Bioscience­s including Microbiolo­gy for various applicatio­ns providing students over 30 majour study options in both Undergradu­ate and Postgradua­te levels.

Why GISM?

Students can study one or two years at GISM and go to New Zealand while saving Dollars over 40% of the total cost and obtain a degree that ensures well-paid careers in New Zealand or anywhere in the world.

Adjusting to different academic and cultural environmen­t is a challenge for many students. Therefore, GISM offers Orientatio­n Programmes which empower the students to bridge the gap they encounter living in a totally different environmen­t. “We share our experience with internatio­nal exposure among students to educate them for a profession­al career in a convenient lifestyle and so, Dear Students, do well today for better tomorrow!” said President of GISM Professor Senaratne in his speech at this Graduation Ceremony.

What we offer?

All the following degree qualificat­ions that the students can obtain through GISM pathway have a high potential of finding a recognised and highly paid jobs in New Zealand and worldwide.

Undergradu­ate pathway programmes:

■ 10 majors under Bachelor of Business which include Accountanc­y, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Internatio­nal Business and Organisati­onal Technology Management.

■ 05 majors under Bachelor of Informatio­n Science, Computer Science, Software Engineerin­g, Informatio­n Systems, Informatio­n Technology and Data Science.

■ Bachelor of Science, including majors in Microbiolo­gy, Molecular Cell Biology and Ecology & Conservati­on.

■ Bachelor of Engineerin­g, including Mechatroni­cs Engineerin­g and Electronic­s & Computer Engineerin­g.

■ Bachelor of Constructi­on in Quantity Surveying or Constructi­on Management.

■ Graduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

■ Graduate Diploma in Informatio­n Sciences.

Postgradua­te pathway programmes (one year in SL and one year in NZ):

■ Master of Science (Bioscience­s)

■ Master of Constructi­on in Constructi­on Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Constructi­on Law.

■ Master of Emergency Management – to be started soon

Who will benefit?

Students with G.C.E. A/L pending results can join directly now. O/L students also can join through GISM Foundation programme. Applicants need a degree or equivalent qualificat­ion from a recognised University for Postgradua­te entry.

GISM also handlesdir­ect placement for Masters and PhD studies and you are encouraged to contact us immediatel­y if you are interested to join in this February intake.
