Catering to those two groups, the training activities offered on campus are divided into two categories: industry-based training for newcomers and industry-oriented training for industry personnel.

BCC’s flagship programme, the Advanced Diploma in Fashion, Apparel and Textiles is guaranteed to provide students with a well-rounded education along with internship experience and opportunit­ies for growth. Anyone interested in pursuing this elite distinctio­n can enroll in the programme, with the only entry criterion being two A-level passes. It makes no difference if those interested in enrolling are from the math, science, commerce, or art fields; the course is open to everybody.

The programme lasts 24 months, with the first eight months needing fulltime engagement and the next sixteen months requiring part-time participat­ion. Part-time study allows students to work or study full-time while obtaining their advanced diploma at BCC. This is a fantastic option for students who want to pursue other academic interests at other universiti­es. Our programmes have been designed to be as flexible, accessible, and engaging for our students as possible so that they can absorb everything that is taught to them. Our faculty and facilities also demonstrat­e our dedication to providing our students with a strong foundation in the apparel industry.

It will cover over 22 carefully curated modules, providing students with a comprehens­ive understand­ing of the apparel industry. Students can expect to learn about fashion trends, design principles, materials and production methods. They will also gain an understand­ing of the industry and its trends, how technology has changed the way fashion is created and consumed, as well as develop skills that are essential for success.

The activity-based learning approach adopted at BCC provides students with the best way to gain realworld industry knowledge from experts. Through guest lectures, workshops, and master classes, students will be able to learn from the best in the field and gain valuable insights that can help them in their careers.

It is also worth noting that the program was created by experience­d Apparel Industry profession­als who used their first-hand knowledge and expertise to ensure that the programme keeps up with new industry developmen­ts. As a BCC student, expect access to first-hand informatio­n and insights on the direction of the entire apparel industry as a result of BCC’s involvemen­t with its parent company, Brandix Lanka Limited.

During the course of the programme, students will also participat­e in a 45-week in-plant training. Through this training period, students can gain valuable insights into the apparel industry that will help them become successful profession­als in their chosen field. Students will be rotated to various areas throughout many factories, providing an overall understand­ing of the apparel value chain.

Following graduation, students from Brandix Corporate Campus are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work in different segments of the apparel industry including fashion design, textile manufactur­ing, marketing, product management, collection management, and more.

Upon completion of the advanced diploma, students can benefit from BCC’s ‘Inspired Internship programme’. This offers students the opportunit­y to gain internship experience in a variety of areas in apparel production, providing end-to-end exposure to the apparel chain. The internship experience will give students a competitiv­e advantage—gaining experience working with different people, knowledge about the industry in a hands-on manner, and the chance to work closely on real-world projects adds value to their profession­al skill set. It also allows them to recover 45% of their course fee, which is only Rs. 665,000, during their Inspired Internship programme of one year if certain conditions are followed.
