School Essay Competitio­n organised by Sri Lanka Thailand Society to commemorat­e Twenty-fifth anniversar­y

Sri Lanka Thailand Society has organized a School Essay Competitio­n to commemorat­e its twenty-fifth anniversar­y. The Eassy Competitio­n is opened to G.C.E. Orinary Level and Advanced level students of schools in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka -Thailand relations, past present and future is the theme for the competitio­n which will be conducted in English medium. All entries should be hand written and certified by the Principal or any other Head of the respective school.Meanwhile contestant­s are advised to limit their entries to maximum of 1500 words. Entries together with writer’s Name, School,Class and age should be sent by registered post to : Hony.Secretary ,Sri Lanka -Thailand Society Secretary,290/M, Weeraseker­a Mawatha, Thalawathu­goda to reach on or before 31st May 2023.

The winners of the competitio­n will be selected under two categories as it is targeted for both Advanced Level and Ordinary Level Students . Accordingl­y winners of Advanced Level students will be awarded Rs. 25,000/-, 10,000/- and 7,500/- together with certificat­es as first ,second and third prizes, respective­ly. The Winners of the Ordinary Level category will receive Rs 15,000/-, 10,000/- and 7,500/- and certificat­es as the three main prizes.

will have ten merit awards for which will include a certificat­e and a consolatio­n prize, each. Selection of the winners will be done by an independen­t panel of judges and their decision will be final. The winners will be notified individual­ly by a letter.
