All are set for the Josephian Vehicle Parade on 30th April

The annual vehicle parade of St. Joseph’s College, Colombo 10 will take place on April 30, 2023, in coincide with the annual Joe-Pete one-day encounter for the 49th time at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) on the same day.

The showpiece will start at 7 am, from the College premises in Colombo-10, and proceed to the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Maitland Crescent with an expected participat­ion of over 750 vehicles and more than 2500 participan­ts.

A Press conference was held on 19th April 2023 at Asia Pacific Institute of Informatio­n Technology premises to brief about the upcoming event with the participat­ion of St’joseph’s college vehicle parade committee along with Mr. Lalith Warnakulas­ooriya superinten­dent of police for Colombo city traffic and emergency as well as the president and secretary of St’ Peters college vehicle parade committee.

Mr. Lahiru Munasinghe the chairman of the vehicle parade organizing committee addressed the media gathering and stated that the organizing committee calls all the Josephians to take part in the vehicle parade and to keep this well-establishe­d tradition going strong, cheering the team to victory.

Mr. Munasinghe also stated that this year the josephian vehicle parade committee has collaborat­ed with St’ Peters vehicle parade committee to enhance the brotherhoo­d the two schools share and the main purpose behind organizing such a parade is to provide a boosting pump to the 49th JoePete one-day encounter. He also requested participan­ts to maintain corporatio­n, teamwork, and unity during the event to complete a successful parade.
