Sheet Anchor wife killer found hanging from tree

After several weeks of searching for the deportee who viciously chopped his wife to death at her Sheet Anchor home, East Canje, the hunt came to an abrupt end when his decomposed body was found dangling from a tree in the Canje River.

Kaieteur News understand­s that the body of Goldburn December called “Goldie” was found last weekend. Commander of B Division Ian Amsterdam confirmed with this publicatio­n that police found the remains after receiving a report that someone noticed a body hanging from a tree at the Fort Ordinance Foreshore. “We got a call that a body was seen hanging from a tree, the ranks responded, of course they had to get in there by boat. They went in and brought the body out where his son positively identified him by a scar on his foot”. According to Amsterdam, the state of the decomposit­ion of the body indicates that he would have committed suicide a little over a week.

The son, Joshua December, relayed to this publicatio­n that he received a message from a villager that his father’s body was seen hanging in a tree. “When I get the message I borrow somebody boat and me and me friends dem go and search the bush where dem seh he deh. After we search we ain’t find he, so while swimming back to the boat, one ah me friend see something hanging from a tree and he seh how it look like me father.”
