Staatsolie says fuel from refinery meets (uropean standards

-

Rumors that are floating around suggest that the oil that is being produced at the refinery of the State Oil Company Staatsolie does not meet the quality that is being propagated by the company. Staatsolie CEO Rudolf Elias made it clear that these rumors are not based on facts. ³The quality is in accordance with European standards and those are the highest standards in the world. An international bureau also tests the oil regularly to guarantee the quality,´ said Elias who added that Intertrek works for nearly all refineries in the world. ³They test our gasoline and diesel to determine the specifications. Nothing goes through the pipelines if it has not been tested at least thrice,´ said Elias.

After the refined oil is delivered to the gas stations of GOw2 and SOL, Intertek tests the quality again. SO far the companies have not mentioned any irregularities to Staatsolie.

³There will always be rumors. I can tell you that our 8ltra Load Silver 'iesel oil is in high demand in the entire Caribbean region.´ Trinidad and Tobago where one of the world’s biggest refineries of the region is located also purchases diesel at Staatsolie. ³:e sell 8ltra Load Silver 'iesel to Trinidad and Guyana and all Caterpillar machines at Iamgold and Newmont run on our diesel´, said Elias. The refinery has already reached its peak period for gasoline and is sold out every day. ³320 thousand liters are sold every day. That is a lot for a product of Staatsolie. :e sell every barrel.´

Staatsolie covers the entire local market with its diesel. ³There is still room to e[port and that is currently our objective,´ said the Staatsolie CEO.
