Student robbed on way to school

A fifteenyearold student on Friday was robbed on his way to school in Paramaribo. The teenager told the police that he was robbed of his mobile phone, a bottle of perfume and his bicycle. The student was cycling to school when two men who were unarmed and who did not wear masks instructed him to pull over. The robbers threatened him before snatching his mobile phone. They then took a bottle of perfume out of his schoolbag and then fled the scene on the victim’s bicycle. The student then walked back to his house before notifying the police of the robbery. The teenager remained unharmed. The perpetrators are still at large.
