Mother needs help for son

Vanity Hek is urgently seeking funds for the surgery of her 4-year-old son, Ravanÿell. Ravanÿell had already undergone surgery in Colombia at the beginning of this year after doctors had detected a tumor in one of his adrenal glands. The doctors indicated that Ravanÿell needs a bone marrow transplantation to keep the tumor from returning. Ravanÿell urgently needs the transplantation!

“The trip to Colombia and the surgery took place with the help of the State Health Foundation (SZF). The operation was a success and my son is receiving chemotherapy in the Hospital Internacional de Colombia (HIC) located in the city of Bucaramanga. Now he needs the bone marrow transplant. This can’t be done in the HIC but in the Fundación Hospital Pediàtrico La Misericordia located in Bogota.

The hospital in Bogota is an 8 hour drive from our current location. The total costs for the bone marrow transplant amount to $ 50,000. The costs for transport, accommodation and survival are an estimated $ 6,000. The SZF has a contract with the HIC but now with the Fundación Hospital Pediàtrico La Misericordia. After long negotiations, the SZF still could get green light for a payment plan at the Fundación
