About 500 families sign up for Christmas parcel
About 500 families have signed up for a Christmas parcel from the Salvation Army. Guillermo Demon who works at the Public Relations Office of the Salvation Army pointed out that the people showed up at the headquarters at 6 am. Although
the registration was scheduled to start at 8 am. the people from the Salvation Army decided to start registering the first group of people at 7 am. The Salvation Army explained that it wanted to keep the crowd from growing bigger. The registration took place in an orderly fashion. The people who wanted to sign up for a food parcel from the Salvation Army had to meet several requirements. The Salvation Army indicated that it would give priority to people who are older than 60, mothers with more than 4 children and people with a disability. The food parcels will be distributed on December 17. The police will be present to make sure that things go smoothly and that everybody follows the COVID-19 rules.
