Police search for hand grenade: “It was a false alarm”

Police officers from the Capital Crime Division on Monday launched an investigation on the property of Judge Subhaas Punwasi. It was suspected that a hand grenade had been thrown on the property of the former attorney general but nothing was found. It turned out to be a false alarm.

The police searched the entire property but left emptyhanded. The judge had heard a loud explosion and thought that somebody had thrown a hand grenade or projectile on his premises so he called the police. The property is located along the Commissaris Weythingweg.
