More than 140 cars flipped over

-

147 cars reportedly flipped over this year. Helmut Gezius, chairman of the Traffic Volunteers’ Force (KSV), told Times of Suriname that 18 cars flipped over in January, 12 in February, 17 in March, 19 in April, 22 in May, 15 in June, 19 in July, 25 in August, 12 in September, 28 in October and 31 in November. Gezius deems it noticeable that many cars flipped over in October and November. A car flipped over almost every day in these two months. “I have never seen this happening before. Speeding is the biggest cause of cars flipping over. There is a big chance that a car will flip over when the driver is either speeding or driving recklessly.”
