Deadly stabbing at Charlesburg claims 1 life

A man died after being stabbed in front of his house located along the Selderiestraat by another man. Both men had reportedly quarreled with each other over a woman. The victim was enjoying a meal on his balcony when he suddenly heard gravel being thrown on his roof. He grabbed a machete and rushed to the street. The suspect pulled out a dagger and stabbed the victim in his arms, abdominal region and chest. A resident rushed to the scene and pulled the victim to the roadside before pulling the dagger out of the victim’s chest. A police unit which arrived on the scene called for an ambulance but when the paramedics showed up the victim had already died. The perpetrator who was still at the scene was arrested. He claimed that the victim often insulted him when he walked by his house.
