AZP urges people not to put pressure on ER

The Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP) is urging people not to unnecessarily put pressure on its Emergency Room (SEH) during the last days of the year and in particularly on New year’s Eve and January 1. It urges people to only visit the ER in case of a real emergency. People with serious injuries and patients with heart problems or those who suspect that there is something wrong with their heart can go to the AZP’s Emergency Room.

People who urgently need to see a physician can go to the Physicians Practice (HAP) at the AZP which is located along the Abraham Samsonstraat (via the main entrance of the AZP).

Joshua Medical Centre (Medicall) which is located along the Van Roosmalenstraat and which can be reached at 181. The following health centers of the Regionale Gezondheidsdienst (RGD) are also at your service:

People can gather more information regarding the business hours of the RGD’s physicians in the local newspapers and on its Facebook page. The people with health insurance of the SZF and those who need to know which physician is on duty can call 148 or visit the SZF physicians.
