COVID-19 patients admitted to Residence Inn
A group of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 have been brought to Residence Inn. Claudia Redan, director at the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP), confirmed that patients have been admitted to Residence Inn. This hotel was prepared to accommodate COVID-19 patients due to the drastic rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. This hotel was also used to accommodate COVID-19 patients during the first wave. Redan explained that 60 people can be accommodated at Residence Inn and that 80 people can be accommodated in the isolation tent that has been put up on the premises of this hotel. It is not clear how many people with mild symptoms have been put in state quarantine at Residence Inn.
