Barber shop and hair salon closed after COVID19 breaches

-

Inspectors from the ParamariboNorthEast District Commissioner’s Office recently shut down a barber shop and a hair salon. An employee from the BIC explained that the barber shop and the hair salon were open for business even though they are supposed to remain closed as part of the COVID19 restrictions. When the state employees arrived on the scene, they spotted a huge crowd. The customers did not stick to social distancing and they also did not wear surgical masks. Officials have therefore concluded that a portion of the population still does not realize the threat that the deadly and contagious novel coronavirus poses to the public health. The state employees made it clear that the entrepreneurs and the citizens must follow the COVID19 rules to contain the spread of the virus. “Together

we can prevent the worst,” said the state employee who added that other businesses have also been caught breaching the restrictions. Several businesses are reportedly selling Suribet tickets via a small window.
