Reinforcem­ents needed for COVID-19 healthcare

Due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases in Suriname, the nation wants again needs reinforcem­ents in the healthcare sector. For the past couple of days the Elsje Finck-Sanichar College Covab (EFS College

Covab) has been urging its students to ‘enlist’ as Suriname is dealing with the second wave of COVID-19. The nation’s nursing school explained that its students will be deployed at the COVID-19 isolation tents located at Residence Inn, the Regional Hospital Wanica and at the Chamber of Commerce (KKF). The isolation tent that is located on the premises of the Chamber of Commerce will be ‘upand-running’ this weekend.

Health Minister Amar Ramadhin explained that the additional workers will first receive training before being deployed.
