– Swazi Observer’s Sub-editor Phiwokwakhe Gamedze won the national design a logo for the Confederation of Southern African National Olympic Committee (COSANOC).

For his achievement, Gamedze walked away with E1 300. His design will now compete with others from the region.

Interviewed after the win, Gamedze said he was very happy to have won the competition.

“It feels good to win as six of us were shortlisted.

This was not the first competition I entered for so it made winning more special,” he said. Gamedze said his inspiration for the logo was the different cultural patterns and colours found through the southern African region.

“Next up is the regional competition where my design will be up against logos from nine other regional countries.

I hope that my design fares well there like it did here at home,” said Gamedze.
