President doesn’t want us to lose to another forces team – ‘Msholozi’

Observer on Saturday - - Sport - By Sibusiso Dlamini

– GREEN Mamba President Isaiah Mzuthini Ntjangase does not take kindly to the team losing to another security forces side.

This was revealed by the Correctional Services side Assistant Captain Siyabonga Msholozi Mdluli during the pre-match briefing held at the Mavuso Sports Centre yesterday.

“A game against a security forces side is a must-win because our presidents are competitive and they do not like losing, especially to each other. So it is always added pressure to play against them.

SOCCER Crowned

We know very well what’s at stake and for us we want to be crowned firstround champions in style,” he said.

Quizzed on whether the pressure won’t get to them in the second-round, the defender promised that they would focus until the end.

“We want to win the games at all costs. All the teams will be targeting us coming into the second round, but then we are also ready because we also have a target and that is to beat a lot of the teams once again in the second round,” he said.

The green and white ensemble will be without the services of Sabelo Chauke and Mxolisi Mkhontfo.

Chances

Meanwhile, Royal Leopard Coach Edwin Matsebula was adamant of his side’s chances of winning despite Green Mamba solid team.

“Green Mamba has a very strong defence, but we do have quality players who can break them upfront. We will match them pound-for-pound.

Prove

The first round isn’t the end of the league. We still have chances and we need to prove ourselves against the best team in the league,” he said.

The police side will be without the services of speedy forward Lungelo Tsabedze and dynamic midfielder Sikhumbuzo Magagula.
