KING RE­QUESTS FAVOURITE SONG FROM COME TO JE­SUS

Gospel group Come to Je­sus were a bless­ing to watch as they per­formed two sets dur­ing the ser­vice.

The group was the only per­former on the day whereas the Mand­vulo Choir kept the fires burn­ing by ren­der­ing songs which suit all de­nomi na­tions from tra­di­tional churches to charis­matic.

Dur­ing their sec­ond set, just as Bheki Gwebu was about re­veal which song they were go­ing to ren­der, His Majesty King Mswati III’s Pri­vate Sec­re­tary a nd Di­rect or Ad­min­is­tra­tion Sihle Dlamini who was in­ter­preter for the day walked up to him and whis­pered in his ear.

Of note, t he gr oup had planned to sing ‘All the days of my life I shall not want’, and Dlamini is said to have told them the King re­quested Umthokozisi as it was one of his favourite songs. The ren­di­tion had ev­ery­one on their feet as they wor­shipped and sang.
