MARTIAL, RASHFORD RESCUE VICTORY FOR MANCHESTER UNITED
BManchester United came from behind to defeat Bournemouth 2-1 in the Premier League, with Marcus Rashford netting a late winner at the Vitality Stadium.
Alexis Sanchez was handed a start upfront, as Marcus Rashford dropped to the bench, while Romelu Lukaku was left out of the squad completely.
The Cherries were nearly gifted the opener early on after Chris Smalling's failure to clear allowed Ryan Fraser in goal, but the forward was unable to bypass David de Gea.
Four minutes later, Bournemouth were ahead as Junior Stanilas broke free down the right flank before sending the ball into the box, where Callum Wilson was on hand to tap home.
After spells of struggling, United leveled matters in the 35th minute as Anthony Martial scored for the fourth successive game by turning home Sanchez's cross.
De Gea came to United's rescue just before the halftime break, with the shot-stopper producing a good save to keep out Ryan Fraser. United came out firing in the second half, and they should have taken the lead after 59 minutes when Marcus Rashford failed to score into a gaping net. Bournemouth coach Eddie Howe responded with a double change as Dan Gosling and Jordon Ibe were introduced in the final 20 minutes as they went in search of a winner.
The Red Devils pushed for the winner in the closing stages, while Jose Mourinho introduced Jesse Lingard for Sanchez with 10 minutes remaining. United left it late as Pogba's cross from the left found Rashford, who rifled the ball home from six-yards out to secure three points.
