...This is not the forum – Gideon Mthembu

Sunday Observer - - SPORT - THLETICS –

AEswati ni Athletics Association (EAA) President Gideon Mthembu says teams were out of order to call out a vote of no c onfidence at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The president said this when answering to issues raised by the teams, with some teams calling for his resignation, alongside his executive.

Expected

“I would have failed dismally in my duties if I were to allow teams to even raise a VOC. We need teams to be experienced for such meeting and do what is expected of us. They can do that in proper forums, not today,” he said

The president further highlighted the two problems in the sport.

“We have two major problems, the first being the issue of Electronic Timing (ET) and the second being the issue of venues.

“Somhlolo is not worthy at the moment and Mavuso doesn’t have the ET technology anymore,” said the president.
