GThe second annual Joe Dlamini fundraising golf tournament has been postponed indef- initely.

The tournament was scheduled to take place this afternoon at the Royal Swazi Sun and it has been since been shifted to next year due to administrative issues.

The tournament’s coordinator Meshack Zwane said they would soon announce the new date when contacted yesterday.

“We have since postponed the tournament to next year after we couldn’t secure enough funds to host the tournament. We will announce the new date soon after we have booked the golf course with the Royal Swazi Sun,”

“We haven’t got enough sponsors for the tournament and we should push the games to next year. We are confident that everything would be in place next year. We are appealing to the nation and business community to assist us to stage the tournament aimed at developing golf in the country,” he said.

The tournament is aimed at honoring local golfer legend Joe Dlamini who shone during the early 80’s in the local and international scenes.

A three man local pick team recently secured a top 30 finish during the 2018 Sunshine Warm Hearts Professional Golf tournament held two weeks ago in Malawi.
