Cor­rec­tional Sun­rise open Zone 6 Games against Zam­bia and Zim

VCor­rec­tional Sun­rise men’s and ladies vol­ley­ball teams will open their Zone 6 Club Cham­pi­onship cam­paigns against sides from Zim­babwe and Zam­bia in Dur­ban, South Africa.

The tour­na­ment will be played at the Uni­ver­sity of KwaZulu Natal at the Westville Cam­pus in Dur­ban. Nabba from Zim­babwe will be the first team that Eswa­tini’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive’s face in their pool game, with the match set to be­gin at 12:30pm. The ladies Cor­rec­tional team takes on Zam­bian side Su­per Select in their open­ing en­counter, which is also sched­uled to start at 12:30pm. HMCS Di­rec­tor of Sports Mpen­dulo Ng­wenya said the team had trav­elled well and ar­rived safely at their ac­com­mo­da­tion sites.

Prob­lem

“Our jour­ney down to Dur­ban was safe and we did not en­counter any prob­lems. Teams have pre­pared well and are ready to get the cam­paign go­ing and make Eswa­tini proud,” said the sports di­rec­tor.

Teams were bro­ken up into dif­fer­ent groups of pools.Each of the pool games will be played un­til De­cem­ber 4 af­ter which quar­ter- fi­nals fol­low on the 5th. The semi-fi­nals and fi­nals will be played on Thurs­day and Fri­day with teams depart­ing on Satur­day.
