Correctional Sunrise open Zone 6 Games against Zambia and Zim
VCorrectional Sunrise men’s and ladies volleyball teams will open their Zone 6 Club Championship campaigns against sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia in Durban, South Africa.
The tournament will be played at the University of KwaZulu Natal at the Westville Campus in Durban. Nabba from Zimbabwe will be the first team that Eswatini’s representative’s face in their pool game, with the match set to begin at 12:30pm. The ladies Correctional team takes on Zambian side Super Select in their opening encounter, which is also scheduled to start at 12:30pm. HMCS Director of Sports Mpendulo Ngwenya said the team had travelled well and arrived safely at their accommodation sites.
“Our journey down to Durban was safe and we did not encounter any problems. Teams have prepared well and are ready to get the campaign going and make Eswatini proud,” said the sports director.
Teams were broken up into different groups of pools.Each of the pool games will be played until December 4 after which quarter- finals follow on the 5th. The semi-finals and finals will be played on Thursday and Friday with teams departing on Saturday.
