Three women struck by lightning in Matsanjeni
Bolts of lightning struck three women who were in different areas in Matsanjeni yesterday afternoon. According to Matsanjeni South Member of Parliament Bomber Mamba, who had to rush one of them to Matsanjeni Health Centre, the three were treated and he was certain that two were discharged. He said the storm which occurred between 2pm and 3pm, struck a young female aged between 1415 who was walking home from Mabande Evangelical Church where youth services were held. Since he was in the vicinity, he rushed her to the health centre where they found two other victims of the lightning from two different areas. One woman, a somewhat relative to the MP, was struck while at Phumelela and was rushed by neighbours to the health centre. Another woman who was at Nkonka was treated at the health centre and discharged. Mamba stated that according to his knowledge, there were, thankfully, no deaths reported to him by the late evening.
