KING MSWATI III IMPRESSED BY RAMASHKA ARCHITECTS’ KM III VVIP WORK
Power woman in the construction industry Elena Dlamini, who is the Director of the main architectural project together with her professional team and main contractor, SBI-JV, showed an elated His Majesty King Mswati III the state-of-the-art VVIP building.
HIS Majesty King Mswati III on Tuesday officially opened the stateof-the-art VVIP Terminal at the KM III International Airport that was designed by Ramashka Architects.
The launching of the building which has also impressed visiting SADC delegates was also witnessed by Her Majesty Indlovukazi, the royal family, Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini and cabinet ministers.
The top standard building was designed by a local company, Ramashka Architects which is under the directorship of Elena Dlamini. She is wife to diplomat Felizwe Dlamini. Upon arrival at the airport, the King cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the building.
He was then taken on a guided tour around the glittering rest halls and conference rooms by the director of the architect company and other team members.
His Majesty was visibly impressed by the beauty of the structure which meets world standards.
The touring of the structure took at
least an hour as the King admired the beautiful innovation.
Meanwhile, the beauty and standard of the structure has also impressed delegates attending the SADC Summit who have landed at the same airport.
The completion of the structure is said to have taken the country a step further towards attaining the 2022 Vision. In an interview early this week, Elena said she was proud that the structure will be enjoyed by generations to come and by the fact that
her company was responsible for such.
“It stands as a monument of art that is equal to very few such buildings for the same purpose in the world thus launching Swaziland closer to the first world plan the country is gearing to,” the director of Ramashka Architects said.
“Bayethe Wena Waphakathi for recognising and letting your people express themselves the best they know how. We are proud to inspire young architects to work hard and express themselves too,” she added.
