50/50 CELEBRATIONS AT MAVUSO APRIL 19
THE ministry of home affairs will mount big screens in four central places for the different regions of the country so that all citizens can follow proceedings of the 50/50 celebrations that will take place on April 19.
Minister Princess Tsandzile announced that the much anticipated 50/50 celebrations will take place at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.
She then explained that the big screens to be mounted in the respective regions will assist people to follow the celebrations live.
Addressing the media, the minister said they wanted the nation to share in the day hence the big screens will be mounted in all four regions. On this day, His Majesty King Mswati III will be turning 50 and celebrating the country’s 50 years of independence.
“The ministry of home affairs would like to inform the nation that it has pleased His Majesty to have the celebrations take place concurrently in the four regions as we celebrate at the main venue, the Mavuso Exhibition
Centre, there will also be big screens in each of the centres to watch proceedings which will be communicated at a later stage,” she said. The princess further stated that transport would be made available for those who wish to attend the event.
“The nation is also informed that there will be food and beverages served at the end of the celebrations,” she said. The minister said the ministry would continue to keep the nation updated on preparations until the day of the celebrations.
