THE old Trade Fair has turned into a sex den.

The facility has also been turned into a haven for all unacceptable behaviour, as a result, the municipality has since decided to crack the whip on whosoever will be found trespassing at the place.

Manzini Municipal Council Public Relations Officer Mathokoza Thwala urged people against trespassing and using the place for sordid activities.

He warned the public against trespassing into the Old Trade Fair.

“We would like to state that the Old Trade Fair is out of bounds as it is a project site wherein a big project is earmarked to take place. As such, anyone found loitering in it is committing a criminal offence,” he said.

Thwala said so bad is the situation such that even school going children are usually found loitering at the Old Trade Fair.

He has since urged parents to speak to their children against doing such. He said council, through its security company which is Kwekwe Security Rangers, together with the Royal Eswatini Police (REP), have already started conducting raids at the old Trade Fair.

He said these patrols would be intensified going forward and anyone caught will be arrested and charged with trespassing.

Thwala said Manzini has a number of recreational parks in the city and if people want to relax with their friends and loved ones they can make use of the parks instead of trespassing at the Old Trade Fair.
