Ex-MP Sikhumbuzo bites dust
FORMER Nkwene MP Sikhumbuzo Dlamini crashed out of the nominations of the Parliamentary Service Board.
The nominations took place yesterday in the House of Assembly and in Senate. Dlamini crashed out even though he had canvassed for nominations, both in the House of Assembly and at Senate as he had eyed a position at the PSB.
In the House of Assembly, Dlamini competed with former ministers Hlobisile-Ndlovu, Owen Nxumalo and Wilson Makhalempi Ntshangase. He also competed with former Deputy Speaker Trusty Gina and former MPs Sivumelwano Nxumalo, Wiseman Ntshingila and Patrick ‘Pha’ Motsa.
The former Nkwene lawmaker also canvassed for nominations in the upper chamber. His name was proposed and he was up against former Senator Menjeni Mahlalela. Dlamini was unlucky as he saw himself losing in both Houses of Parliament.
In the House of Assembly, he got 20 nominations, while the winner in the House, Hlobisile Ndlovu, got 38 nominations. In the upper chamber, he got only four nominations, while Mahlalela, who emerged a winner, got 18 nominations.
