Govt, unions go to CMAC

Swazi Observer - - NATIONAL NEWS -

THE next step for the public sector associations will be the Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration Commission (CMAC).

The primary function of CMAC is to resolve disputes through conciliation, mediation and arbitration.

NAPSAWU President Aubrey Sibiya said they would meet as unions to discuss the way forward but procedurally, reaching a deadlock gives them the green light to then take the matter with CMAC which they intend to do.

“I want to believe that by Monday we will have a clear path on what we would do next but it is a given that our next move will be going to CMAC,” he said.

Swaziland Nurses Association President Bheki Mamba also shared the same sentiments, stating that they would be going to CMAC to resolve the matter through conciliation, mediation and arbitration.
