Matsapha clearing space for new businesses
IN a bid to see more businesses operating in the industrial capital of Eswatini Matsapha, Mayor Sandlane Zwane has announced that they have plans to relocate some businesses in order to open space for new businesses.
Speaking during the opening of Mathangeni OK Foods, Zwane said as Matsapha they have a vision to see development taking place within Matsapha and they are planning to relocate some businesses which will help make a way for new businesses in the area.
Zwane made an example of Asian operated car dealers, where some of them are operating on places where other businesses that could add better value to Matsapha could be. Zwane also said they were looking to host businesses like lodges, which are meant to further boost the country’s tourism. The mayor sternly advised OK Foods staff on not operating their businesses in another business as this promoted corruption.
According to Zwane, the country was struggling a lot with corruption and this needed to be corrected soon as it was delaying a lot of the country’s progress.
In addition Zwane said the country needs more investors as it is a fertile environment that is ready to host businesses. “Eswatini is a virgin and needs investors to help build the economy, Matsapha is more than ready to host investors as we have plans to improve the place to a lucrative environment beaming with businesses,” he said.
