South Korean DJ Soda, began her journey to become a DJ in 2013 when she decided to embark on a new journey having previously worked in musical acting. Today she is an international success playing all over the world on some of the biggest stages. SODA energizes her audience not only with her mixing of Hip-hop and Electro but her enigmatic personality.

She recently returned to Korea after wrapping up the first half of her North American Tour. She's returning to the States and Canada in April for the second half of her tour, taking on Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Vancouver, and many more.

What is your go-to song at the moment?

- Starlight by DJ SODA! I will be releasing my new track very soon. It’s the first track that I sang myself. I’ve been listening to it recently.

What is always in your bag?

- Chocolates and gummies!

Your best travel advice for packing when traveling?

- I’m not the best person for this advice, haha. I’m definitely a heavy traveller and I have a great team! During this past U.S. tour, the number of luggage we brought around increased from 3 to 10. If there is someone out there like me who thinks everything is essential, I recommend you get sturdy pieces of luggage. Take as much as you possibly can! Haha!

Which city is your favourite, and you wish everyone could visit?

- I wish everyone, if they could, to visit San Francisco! I first visited SF on my first US tour, and the weather was so nice, it was such a beautiful city that I felt like I was in a paradise. Besides SF, my favourite city has to be Los Angeles since most of my friends are in LA and the weather is just amazing over there as well.

How do you prepare for a DJ gig?

- I usually do a soundcheck in the late afternoon and check out the venue to match my outfit to the venue and my set.

How do you take care of yourself during hectic days and tours?

- Lots of sleep! Also, taking advantage of downtime and accommodations at the hotel. I usually request room service

breakfast before I go to sleep. Having a food alarm clock of sorts forces me to

wake up and start moving, haha. Once I’m awake, I’ll eat a healthy breakfast

while putting on my makeup. It makes me ready for the day and shows!

Skincare routine? After a long night. What is a product or skincare advice you need everyone to know about?

- I think it’s more important to wash your

face thoroughly than put on skincare products. I enjoy my multi-step routine;

I remove all my makeup first with lip and eye remover, remove skin makeup with cleansing water, and remove everything

all again with cleansing oil. Lastly, cleanse gently with cleansing foam!
