Signature Women

For a long time, society’s sexism held that, with few exceptions, women were to be the subjects of art, not the creators. Thankfully, we’ve gotten a little bit more enlightened over the years, and the past hundred-odd years have seen change on this front, and this exhibition at Artipelag collects together the work of some of the most powerful female artists since 1900. The exhibition also features work that has been marginalised for years, so you might just discover some treasures previously unknown to you.
