Entertainment is still on pause. In addition to the real hardship and pain it causes, the pandemic keeps cutting away at the year’s social calendar, and people are more or less left to entertain themselves. The Summer Olympics have been cancelled for the first time since World War II and everything from the Shanghai and Cannes Film Festivals to large events like Burning Man and Primavera to happenings like Somerset’s Abbey Hill Steam Rally and larger family dinners have been put on hold. We can do without all of that though - what we cannot fathom missing out on is our local festivities, like Konstfack’s graduate exhibition. Now it actually does exist in physical form too, but the main news is that all the material from the 193 graduating students is up on their digital platform for us all to peruse from the comfort of our homes. We take a look and highlight a couple of the participants, who explain their work in their own words.

Apart from that we want to champion some more established local talent – Little Jinder, who has returned to English-language music, and Omnipollo who have finally settled down at their very own brewery. Fittingly it’s a church. A place to worship their fantastical concoctions.
