Ballets Suédois 1920–1925

-

The dance troupe Svenska Balleten was steered by art collector Rolf de Maré and his partner, choreograph and dancer Jean Börlin, and in the early 1920s they decided to take themselves down to Paris, one of the great stages for culture in Europe at the time. There, they had great adventures, and made a name for themselves, rising to the top of the world of dance as well as moving in the fluid and lively cultural milieu of the city. This exhibition at Dansmuseet celebrates the 100th year anniversary of the move to Paris by bringing their adventures to light once more.

Ballets Suédois 1920–1925, Dansmuseet, opens Oct 25
