The 25-year-old Thai, who teed off at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship yesterday, is seeking his second win on the circuit after the Malaysian Open triumph in 2013.

It is his second European Tour event of the year after he was tied for fifth at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.

After Abu Dhabi, he will play in next week’s Qatar Masters followed by the Dubai Desert Classic, Malaysian Open and Thailand Classic.

Kiradech, who had a disappointing campaign last season, has set his sights on winning at least one tournament on the European Tour this year.

“It will be a challenging year as I will focus on the European Tour,” said Kiradech who is also a member of the Asian and Japan tours. “It will be tough but I will try to win on the tour.”

Kiradech is using experienced caddie Surawut Wannapintu, who has worked with Thongchai Jaidee and Boonchu Ruangkit.

He is now managed by IMG and hopes the partnership will help make him a better player.

“I am very happy to sign with IMG which is second to none in the industry,” Kiradech said.
