Datsyuk strikes in overtime to steer Red Wings to thrilling victory against Blues
>> ST LOUIS: Detroit’s Pavel Datsyuk scored the overtime winner to give the Red Wings a valuable 3-2 road win at in-form St Louis on Friday.
The Red Wings moved into a share of second place in the NHL Atlantic Division with Montreal, who lost at Ottawa, and stayed three points ahead of Boston, who continued their form surge by beating the New York Rangers.
Toronto is slipping off the pace in the Atlantic, suffering a sixth defeat in seven games at San Jose.
Detroit completed a six-game road trip with a 4-2 mark thanks in part to goaltender Petr Mrazek, who made 25 saves and improved to 3-0 in four career appearances against St Louis.
