Be hospitable — for money
Trisara Academy, a training facility operated by the Montara Hospitality Group, is offering its first internship programme for Thai students aged 18 to 28.
The three-month programme consists of two separate courses, one in food and beverage operations and another in culinary preparation. It will begin on March 2.
The academy was founded in Phuket last year. Its internship programme is a 520-hour course aimed to provide students with the training and knowledge they need to succeed in the country’s hospitality sector.
The culinary preparation course will be led by Trisara’s executive chef Chalermchai Prakobkit, who has worked in kitchens of Michelin-starred restaurants. The course will lay a foundation for culinary skills and knowledge, preparing students for an entry-level position in a restaurant’s kitchen.
The food and beverage operations course will be led by Thai Trisara managers. It will equip students with the essential skills needed for entry-level service staff employment in the industry.
Upon completion of the courses, students will receive assistance in job placement in the form of resume-writing advice and arranged interviews with Phuket hotels.
Each course runs five days per week. The fee is 12,800 per month, inclusive of uniforms, daily meals and course materials.
Applications must be submitted in writing and be accompanied by recent photograph. Applicants must have at least a high school degree and an average level of verbal English-speaking skills. Some English training will be provided in each course.
