Varieties of activities to enhance education for children and juveniles have been implemented through several projects, including “The Centre of Learning with Fun Building” and the “Care For You”. The foundation intends to construct two or three Centres of Learning with Fun for needy schools and communities each year. The two-story permanent learning centres are equipped with computers, books, textbooks, and hi-tech teaching media. The areas outside are beautifully decorated to create a fresh atmosphere suitable for pursuing knowledge. Eight learning centres have already been handed to schools and communities countrywide. The Card For You project is an annual painting competition aiming to be a forum for handicapped children to present their talents. The contest is arranged in a workshop style where children can participate with equipment and materials of their choice provided by the foundation and there are no limitations to the techniques that can be employed. Paintings selected by the contest committee are awarded certificates and trophies in various categories. Winners also receive scholarships. The Better Thailand Foundation has also undertaken other educational activities, including donation of computers and school materials to schools in rural areas, donation of books to libraries, and provision of scholarships to underprivileged students.
