Cosentino’s Bangkok debut Bangkok Convention Centre CentralWorld, Ratchadamri Road June 13 at 1pm and 7.30pm Illusionist, magician and escapologist Cosentino will present his never-beforeseen death-defying escapes in the “Twisted Reality” show, which is also packed with large-scale stunts and mindboggling magic. Code of conduct for monks Ariyasom Villa, Sukhumvit Soi 1 June 10, 6.30pm to 8.30pm Presented by the little Bangkok Sangha meditation group, “Living a Disciplined Life — the value of Vinaya” is the topic of a dharma lecture that offers a reflection on the advantages and blessings of having an ordered life. It will be conducted in English by Ajahn Vajiro, an English bhikkhu in the Ajahn Chah lineage. He has set up a number of branch monasteries with the other western monks, and is currently abbot in a new Buddhist monastery in Portugal. He will also lead the “Theravada Puja”, a special event that will take participants to understand the logical system of ‘puja’ or ceremony performed in the Theravada Buddhist tradition.
